Chessclub Jyväs-Shakki organizes 16th Heart of Finland Open chess tournament in Jyväskylä at July 11-16, 2006.

Tournament will be played in 9 rounds according to Swiss system. Tournament is ELO-rated and there are possibilities to reach FIDE title norms.

Fri July 13	at 14-20	Round 6
Sat July 15	at 10-16	Round 7
	at 17-23	Round 8
Sun July 16	at 10-16	Round 9
	at 16:30	Prize giving ceremony right after final round.

Note! A player can rest one round in the tournament between rounds 1-4 if he/she want so. In this case the player receives 1/2 point from that round.

Timerate

2 hours / 40 moves + 1 hour to finish.

Entry fees

GMs and IMs no entry fee (early registration required), FM/U20 60 EUR, ELO-rated players 80 EUR, others 100 EUR.

Early bird discounts: Payments received not later than June 23th are allowed a 10% discount.

Prizes

Winner prize 1500 EUR, lots of rating group prizes.

Accommodation

Lots of different types of alternatives close to the playing venue.
